Now for some Downtime

After a very hectic October, we now get to relax for a little while and work on building up our business.  We finished the month off with a bang though, with back to back Halloween weekend weddings.  Saturday 10/30 was devoted to Rebecca and Stephen, and their Venetian Yacht Club wedding.  It was a wonderful day and they were such a fantastic couple to work with. Their wedding was definitely memorable, especially seeing Stephen do his grand re-entrance dressed as Elvis!

Sunday was Selena and Jin's traditional Korean wedding at the Crest Hollow Country Club.  We obtained a wealth of information about Korean culture and traditions and couldn't be happier.  Selena was beautiful in her Maggie Sottero gown, but wasn't stopping there.  Midway through the evening she changed into a gorgeous and traditional Korean Hanbok.  Selena and Jin thought everything through from the escort cards to the placement of the money box.  It was certainly an invaluable experience for us!

Success!

Last night's showcase was great!  We want to thank Tom from Stuart Thomas Manor for allowing us to be part of it.  We met some great couples and very excited young ladies who will be celebrating their Sweet 16's soon.  We also met some great new vendors to build up new relationships with.  Here's a pic of our table!

Now we prepare for a VERY busy weekend!  We've got back to back weddings and are super excited for both of them!

Half-Way There!

We said October was a busy month for us and we weren't joking!  Wedding number two of the month was more than successful last night!  Our wonderful DIY bride Michelle was beautiful as ever with her handsome husband Anthony.  From setting up pew bows, altar pieces, and escort cards to decorating their hotel room and bustling her dress, Laura and Shauna now know the layout of the East Wind Estate like their own homes!

It began by Laura picking up an excited and anxious father of the bride and taking him to see his little girl getting ready.  From then it was go-time.  The bridal party's bags were loaded into the car, instructions were given, flowers were delivered.  Then we head over to church to set up the two gorgeous altar pieces and 20 pew bows all created by lovely the mother of the bride!  Anthony and his groomsmen arrived and it was time to pin their boutonnières on, and just in time before Michelle and her bridesmaids arrived.

It was a beautiful mass, and all the while, Shauna was at the East Wind Estate checking Michelle, Anthony, and their families into their hotel rooms.  Then it was time to set up the escort cards, cardbox, and all of the details to make Michelle and Anthony's wedding theirs.  As the bridal party arrived at the East Wind, their luggage was brought in, and they began their long afternoon of picture taking.  All the while, the pew bows and altar pieces from church were being brought in and set up around the mansion to bring that extra little something over.

Michelle and Anthony were floored when they saw what their cocktail hour are and ballroom looked like.  They couldn't have been more grateful to have AMDA with them last night, and we couldn't have had more fun working with them.  We hope you have a wonderful honeymoon and wish you both nothing but the best!

So now we begin preparing for our Halloween weekend weddings!  But first, don't forget to come see us at the Stuart Thomas Manor in Farmingdale on October 26th for their Party Showcase!  We've got a great deal going on for people who book at the show.  In addition, since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, AMDA is donating 10% of the TOTAL contract cost of any October bookings to Breast Cancer Research. Contact us today to set up your free no obligation meeting. We can all work together to make a difference.
